Each of the fifty US states is represented by two US Senators who serve a term of six years. US Senate elections are staggered so roughly one third of Senators are up for re-election in every Federal election. Currently Sherrod Brown is the senior US Senator for Ohio and J.D. Vance is the junior US Senator for Ohio. Senator Brown is up for re-election in 2024 and Senator Vance is up for re-election in 2028.

Unlike the US Senate, the allocation of seats in the House of Representatives is based on the population of each state as per US Census data. The number of representatives is limited by law to 435 and each Representative serves their individual district for a period of two years. As of January 7th 2023, Greg Landsman represents the residents of Warren County, having defeated incumbent Steve Chabot in the 2022 General Election.
